Economical Belt Conveyor Wraparound Labelling System
We believe our economical SEPPA belt application-R wraparound labelling system for cylindrical/round products such as bottles, jars and pots, represents one of the best value entry level belt conveyor based standalone labelling machines of its type in the market.
SEPPA belt -R systems are based around our workhorse SEPPA step labelling head, combined with a open based SEPPA belt frame with rubberized belt conveyor, to create an extremely flexible, economical entry level conveyor wraparound labelling system.
A modular machine that is built to your requirements and that has the potential to grow with your business; machines are generally used in a standalone format with the potential for low to medium speed inline use in the future should you require it.
Application speed is dependent on the size of the product and the frequency of product on the conveyor, but typical speeds of 40-60 products p/minute are normal.
MACHINE SPEEDS UP TO 300 PRODUCTS P/MINUTE ARE AVAILABLE
SEPPA- belt -R incorporates the same direct wraparound, on peeler application system as our high performance SEPPA line machine series,
offering excellent product range flexibility, accuracy and speed. Machines also have the possibility to withdraw this belt and function as a standard side labeller if required (with flat, but not elliptical products), with conveyor widths tailored to the product range presented.
A popular configuration of our SEPPA belt application machine is the fitting of a thermal transfer print module, controlled via an independent dancing arm (SEPPA step T). This unit allows real time label print and application with or without a ribbon (direct thermal) and is commonly used for date coding and/or full label personalization, perhaps with a pre-printed generic label stock; ideal for customers with small batch runs.
Finally, it is also possible to configure the machine with a secondary top labelling head; e.g. to apply a lid label in the same pass, and to even add a simple adaption system for tamper seal labels for example, as afforded by the machines flexible base design.
Key Features
Entry level conveyor based wraparound labelling system for cylindrical/round products
Can also be used for single side panel labelling of flat sided products
Possibility to add inline printer
Possibility to add a secondary top labelling head and/or tamper adaption system
SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE PAPER STICKER FOR FLAT BOTTLES +
SEPPA belt FSS (FLAT SINGLE SIDE) is an economical single label side panel labelling system, for products that are either unstable and/or require orientation (elliptical/oval products) where simple side guides are not sufficient.
It is an entry level solution, ideal for customers who cannot justify our fully automatic SEPPA -line- D front-back labelling system (applying two labels in a single pass), and where no viable desktop solution is available
Economy Side Panel/Elliptical Product Labelling System
SEPPA-belt-FSS is configured around a robust open base structure, workhorse AL step labelling head and rubberized belt conveyor; supplemented with a top stabilization/holding belt;
for light or unstable products.
The further option of a side belt pre-aligner is also available for elliptical/oval products which cannot be consistently orientated with simple guides
The alignment system works by removing what is commonly known as ’guide slack’; where a product can still be twisted between a set of guides even with them positioned tightly on its sides. Our side belt alignment belt (one of the simpler orientation systems of our fully automatic AL line series machine) works to minimize this inaccuracy by consistently twisting these products within the guides to the same angle position.
Once orientated there is then a transfer point, where the product is momentarily being held by the drive of both the side belt and now the upper stabilizer belt, which will then maintain the products position to the labelling head, resulting in a consistent, accurate label application..
SEPPA belt-FSS machines are generally purchased as standalone systems, fed manually by the operator at a throughput of up to 60 TO 200 products per minute depending on the operator and product. They can be configured with a full range of options including transparent label sensors for clear labels (commonly used with liquor ,beer, wine ,cosmetics, toiletry and shampoo products) or batch and date code printers such as a hot foil impact printer which is commonly used with chemical trigger spray products
Although the performance of an SEPPA-belt-FSS machine is far beyond that of a desktop machine, the requirement for continuous motion (usually in the form of a conveyor) to label the product types discussed means that viable solutions of this type do not really exist, and for this reason an AL belt -FSS machine is often an entry level, ‘first machine’ solution.
Key Features
Entry level machine
For light/unstable and/or elliptical/oval shaped products
Transparent label and batch code printing options
Highly robust design and build
Fast labelling rates, typically between 40-50 products p/minute
SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE LABELLER - BASE AND TOP AND BOTTOM SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE LABELLER - BASE AND TOP AND BOTTOM +
Whether through necessity, "the product can only be presented in this orientation" or logic - "products are all the same height when labeled from the bottom"; we have a range of base labelling solutions or base and top (top & bottom labellers) capable of meeting both simple and demanding requirements, integrating our full labelling head range and the possibilities this brings.
Two Sections & Twin Side Belt Base Labelling Systems
SEPPA Belt Two Sections Conveyor with SEPPA - RITA Head
SEPPA-Tech offers a wide variety of base, top and bottom labelling solutions. Our labelling heads, which can be rotated through a full 360 degrees, offer optimum product flexibility. The two most common forms of base/underside labelling handling systems can be categorized as follows:
• Split Belt Underside Labelling Conveyor
• Side Belt Underside Labelling Conveyor
Some typical machine configurations include:
Split Belt Base, Base & Top labelling System
Utilizing our workhorse SEPPA step labelling head(s), we combine our SEPPA-belt two sections conveying system with a top mounted and inverted underside mounted SEPPA step labelling head. This allows the machine to label the underside/bottom of the product using a fixed peeler applicator that applies the label through a gap in the conveyor. The weight of the product is then used to ensure the label is fully adapted as it continues along the line.
The configuration of the machines can be tailored to industry or manufacturing specifications. Where space is at a premium, an ultra compact version is available (with a conveyor length of just over one meter) and for food processing lines, machines can be constructed out of full stainless steel with easy clean belts and minimization of catch collection points.
Print and apply is also an option in both batch and real time ‘one to one’ printing formats, even for the base labelling head. This is particularly relevant to real time print data applications (i.e. where a specific label must be matched to a specific product), where commonly most manufacturers rely on a risk prone batch/sequencing print solution, with printed labels sequenced to the application point.
Our innovative vacuum belt AL code machine replicates the properties of a peeler bar applicator, feeding the label directly from the print engine up through the split belt conveyor on a speed matching vacuum belt.
Where the product is light or unstable, or ultimate precision is desired (e.g. with a toiletry or pharmaceutical product), the split belt conveyor system can be supplemented with a dual synchronized side belt system to grip and hold the product as it is labelled; this ensures ultimate stability and accuracy.
This higher level specification machine is usually matched to our more premium SEPPA-RITA touch screen controlled labelling heads, whilst all solutions can be supplemented with numerous additional options such as transparent label sensors and/or a label checking system.
Split Belt Base, Base & Top labelling System
Our impressive synchronized side belt underside labelling system, with precision auto centring adjustment, uses powerful servo motor technology to provide a high precision labelling solution; ideal for integrating into an existing manufacturing line.
The benefit of this extended side belt system is that it can also be used to transfer products between butt end connected conveyors. This is achieved by overlapping the existing conveyor to stabilize and hold the product as it is transferred onto the labelling system. The system can also fit it into a space which even the smallest split belt system could not be placed.
The side belt labelling system is largely used in cosmetics/toiletries applications, but can also prove valuable in food and beverage production lines. The system offers key benefits in precision top/bottom labelling applications; many of which are also true of the side belt supplemented split belt system discussed above.
One specific example is a non-stop configuration which holds and spaces the products between the labelling heads. We can then use our sophisticated control systems, extraction slide systems and pneumatic peeler engagement system to automatically change between labelling heads for a completely non-stop solution.
As with all our machines, the design and build of the machine is tailored to the environment the machine is to be placed, and as a labelling machinery specialist, we focus on the solution to suit all sectors; from pharmaceutical to food and beverage.

SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE LABELLER FOR FLAT SIDED OR TAPERED CYLINDRICAL +
SEPPA line FSTC is a high performance, fully featured in-line wraparound labelling machine for flat sided or slightly tapered cylindrical products. These include plastic, glass or metal jars, vials and bottles containing foodstuff, chemicals, cosmetic & pharmaceutical products.
High Performance In-Line Wraparound Labelling
SEPPA line FSTC
As with all SEPPA labelling machines, SEPPA- LINE FSTC designed in a modular format and can be configured with an infinitely variable choice of gapping systems, labelling heads and / or coding solutions. These are chosen according to the products to be labeled and the performance requirements of the application The two most common forms of base/underside labelling handling systems can be categorized as follows:
.
.
Typical label application speeds vary from between 80-200 products per minute dependent on the label and product dimensions; a maximum of 300 products per minute can be achieved for bespoke solutions
Standard product spacing solutions for the SEPPA-LINE -FSTC include:
• Gapping wheel
• Side belt spacer
• Dual belt spacer
• Scroll drive
• Pneumatic gate
SEPPA- LINE FSTC can be with either our workhorse SEPPA step or performance SEPPA -RITA / SEPPA-RITA X head series mounted on highly precise twin tube adjustment systems
Further options exist to add micrometric inclination (i.e. to match a products taper) and/or visual axis counters, providing setup and changeover procedures that are particularly simple, intuitive and repeatable.
SEPPA - RITA based solutions include a powerful touch screen control system allowing setting and storage of all the labelling parameters related to the particular label and product combination
These can then be stored as a format with a definable name - e.g. '1Ltr' meaning each job only requires setting up once, from which point settings can just be recalled electronically, massively speeding product changeovers.
A comprehensive array of devices are available for label wraparound - with standard direct wrap machines capable of either full or partial wraparound labelling on flat sided or slightly tapered containers
Further wraparound options include the potential to label in-phase (e.g. with a pre-existing print registration) via a special three roller system or on the front and back of the product via our unique vacuum wraparound system.
This innovative system can also be configured to provide a non-stop labelling solution (via two labelling heads feeding the same vacuum belt) or for high speed in-register label application with an in-line applied lid or neck label.
The core wraparound application solutions for SEPPA- LINE FSTC can be visualized here:
• Direct wraparound
• In-phase wraparound
• Vacuum wraparound
Typified in its design by a compact solid base structure, SEPPA- LINE FSTC labelling systems include as standard a high degree of water ingress protection, stainless steel top plate & module components and an upper mounted control panel, providing a user friendly operator interface and of course inherent liquids protection.
For particularly harsh environments SEPPA- LINE FSTC can also be specified with an enclosure and/or full stainless 304 or 316 constructions - i.e. for wet or corrosive environments.
The robust base can be mounted with several kinds of slat or belt conveyors, of differing widths and lengths to meet customer requirements whilst ensuring system rigidity and thus, consistent alignment of all the labelling elements and consequently accurate labelling.
Machines can also be mounted with a wide range of coding solutions such as hot foil, intermittent thermal transfer or full inline thermal print engines for complete in-line label printing with text and barcodes.
They can also be configured with label application checking devices and product rejection systems - or for standalone solutions, with rotary in feed and out feed tables for automatic feed and take off.
Key Features
High performance in-line linear labelling system for cylindrical products
Ultra robust fully enclosed base structure/slat conveyor
Precision movement systems with product format ‘save’ functionsn
Horizontal roller bed, vacuum belt, tri-roller & high speed tamper configurations
SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE LABELLER FOR IN-LINE FRONT & BACK LABELLING +
HIGH PERFORMANCE IN-LINE FRONT & BACK LABELLING
SEPPA- LINE - FBL (FRONT AND BACK LABELLING)
SEPPA- LINE - FBL is a high precision in-line labelling system configured to apply front and back labels in a single pass to elliptical and/or rectangular shaped products such as shampoo 'type' toiletry bottles,
triggers sprays and jerry cans to name but a few:
As with all SEPPA labelling machines, SEPPA- LINE - FBL is designed in a modular format with an infinitely variable choice of gapping, orientation and labelling solutions chosen according to the products to be labeled and the performance requirements of the application.
In the design of every SEPPA- LINE - FBL four essential processes are required for accurate labelling; namely Product Spacing, Product Alignment, Product Stabilization and Label Application
To synchronize these elements, as standard all SEPPA- LINE - FBL labelling systems include a state-of-the-art electronic encoder system. This not only makes it possible to adjust the machines labelling speed by means of a single potentiometer, but it also guarantees accurate labelling even during starting or stopping the machine. (Maintaining label positioning even with speed variation)
The choice of spacing solution is critical to machine throughput - which when specified with our most performing labelling heads can be as much as 500 products per minute.
The two horizontally configured opposing side labelling heads fitted to the SEPPA- LINE - FBL’s base structure can be chosen from our workhorse AL step variety or performance SEPPA-RITA / SEPPA-RITA X labelling head series depending on the speed of application & machine features required by the customer.
The labelling heads are mounted on highly precise twin tube adjustment systems with the further option of micrometric inclination (i.e. to match the taper angle of a product) and visual axis counters providing setup and changeover procedures that are particularly simple, intuitive and repeatable
Standard product spacing solutions for the AL line E include:
• Gapping wheel
• Side belt spacer
• Dual belt spacer
• Scroll drive
• Pneumatic gate
The inherent additional benefit of this 'gripper' orientation solution is the positive drive created on an orientated 'square' (on the belt) product, whilst still leaving its top face exposed, therefore allowing highly precise tamper or lid label application without product slippage or movement.
The core product orientation solutions for SEPPA- LINE - FBL can be visualized here:
• Side Belt Orientation System
• Twin Chain Orientation System
• Twin Gripper Orientation System
Once product is orientated it is simultaneously transferred in to the drive of a spring loaded top stabilization belt, to be transported to the labelling position without movement or slippage.
At the point of transfer from the orientation module to the top stabilization system, the product is held under the drive of both devices - allowed by the machines perfect synchronization of its elements, ensuring orientation is maintained
• Top Stabilization / Drive Belt
SEPPA- LINE - FBL's solid base features a high degree of water ingress protection, stainless steel top plate & module components. For particularly harsh environments SEPPA- LINE - FBL can also be specified with an enclosure and/or full stainless 304 or 316 constructions - i.e. for wet or corrosive environments.
The robust base can be mounted with several kinds of slat or belt conveyors, of differing widths and lengths to meet customer requirements whilst ensuring system rigidity.
Importantly it is for this reason that even when not fitted with a cabinet, all SEPPA- LINE - FBL systems still include an upper trestle, hardening the top stabilizing belt for increased rigidity of the whole system.
• Upper Trestle (present even without enclosure)
This feature also provides a platform for a top mounted fully rotatable control system allowing settings for both applicators to be adjusted from either side of the machine as well as inherent liquids protection.
SEPPA-RITA based solutions include a powerful touch screen control system allowing setting and storage of all the labelling parameters related to the particular label and product combination.
These can then be stored as a format with a definable name - e.g. '1Ltr' meaning each job only requires setting up once, from which point settings can just be recalled electronically, massively speeding product changeovers.
Machines can be mounted with a wide range of coding solutions such as hot foil, intermittent thermal transfer or full inline thermal print engines for complete in-line label printing with text and barcodes.
They can also be configured with label application checking devices and product rejection systems - or for standalone solutions, with rotary in feed and out feed tables for automatic feed and take off.
• In feed Rotary Table
• Out feed Rotary Table
Finally, SEPPA- LINE - FBL can be equipped with some of the same label wraparound units as used on SEPPA belt -R, to also allow full or partial wraparound labelling on the same machine ( SEPPA belt -R-FBL)
Key Features
High performance in-line linear labelling system for cylindrical products
Ultra robust fully enclosed base structure/slat conveyor
Precision movement systems with product format ‘save’ functionsn
Horizontal roller bed, vacuum belt, tri-roller & high speed tamper configurations
SEPPA SELF ADHESIVE LABELLER WITH 3-ROLLER WRAPAROUND LABELLING SYSTEMS +
SEPPA -line 3-roller wraparound labelling systems, also known as tri-roller or in-phase labelling systems provide the ultimate in precision wraparound labelling with the possibility of applying the label registered rotationally to another feature on the product.
High precision and/or registered wraparound labelling
SEPPA-line 3-Roller Labelling System
SEPPA-line 3-roller labelling systems are designed for labelling cylindrical products in a method that ensures the correct vertical positioning of the product (removing any potential base inaccuracy) as well as allowing the possibility of applying the label registered rotationally to an existing feature of the container; e.g. the seam or handle of a can, cartouche of a bottle or a pre-existing label or artwork already present
They operate by controlling the release of individual product to a three-roller capture system, consisting of a powered roller and two idle rollers, easily adjustable by screw thread to different diameter products and fed by one or multiple labelling heads depending on the requirements of the application (e.g. full wraparound, front & back wraparound, registered neck label application etc).
Machine throughput is of course a relative of the containers diameter, but the stop-start nature of a 3-roller application system does mean that application speeds are lower than comparative direct wraparound machines, such as our SEPPA- LINE FSTC machine; typical application speeds range from 25-60 products p/minute depending on the machines module configuration and if there is a requirement to register the label.
Perhaps offering the ultimate in machine flexibility, a popular AL line configuration, available both with our SEPPA- LINE FSTC and SEPPA- LINE - FBL machines combines the functionality of our direct wraparound and 3-roller wraparound labelling systems, using the direct wraparound belt as the main drive roller when operating as a 3 roller solution; e.g. giving the possibility of two running modes - direct wraparound high speed labelling + 3-roller registered label application, in a single machine
3-roller SEPPA line solutions also often provide the correct solution to complex and challenging tapered product labelling requirements (e.g. soup pots, pails and pots), allowing the inclination of the labelling head to be exactly matched to the taper angle of the container, with the product stationary in front of the labelling head providing the most controlled accurate label release on to the product possible
Key Features
High precision wraparound labelling of cylindrical products
Possibility of registered in-phase labelling
Compact economical and high performance configurations
Designed for standalone or inline use
