316L stainless steel throughout not 304. The molybdenum content in 316L resists chloride induced pitting in wort and beer manufacture environments where 304 eventually fails. Product contact surfaces are electropolished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm. No deadlegs. Every line drains. Every valve configuration allows full CIP coverage. These aren't optional extras they're in the base spec because contamination events are expensive and preventable ones are indefensible.
Centralised glycol cooling sized for peak simultaneous demand across all active fermenters. Each jacket zone runs through motorised modulating valves on PLC-managed setpoint profiles. Multiple vessels can run fermentation ramps, cold crash schedules, and conditioning holds at the same time without manual oversight.
SCADA-based cellar management across fermentation, CIP, transfers, and packaging. At volume, beer manufacture without that level of automation becomes a staffing and consistency problem. Methodology
Every beer manufacturing plant Seppa delivers follows the same five-phase process. The timeline scales with project size; the process doesn't change.
Phase 1: Site Feasibility & Design
Site feasibility comes first floor area, utilities, drainage assessed, process flow diagrams and layout produced before any fabrication starts. Custom fabrication follows sign off, with weld and dimensional checks throughout.

Phase 2: Installation and Commissioning
Installation and commissioning covers mechanical erection, pipework, wiring, instrumentation, and trial brews with Seppa engineers on site to verify what was designed is what was built.

Phase 3: Operational Training
Operational training is a step many equipment suppliers skip. Seppa doesn't because handing over a beer manufacturing plant to a crew that hasn't been properly trained on it is a setup for early problems. Staff leave commissioning knowing equipment operation, cleaning protocols, yeast management, and maintenance routines. That's what responsible beer manufacture actually looks like at handover.
