SEPPA SSB-SL-20 PET Bottle Blowing Machine
OverviewoftheSEPPASSB-SL-20PETBottleBlowingMachine
Small batch producers need consistent wall thickness and clarity from short production runs, without the footprint and utility load of a full scale line. The SEPPA SSB-SL-20 was built around that problem. It is a linear pet packaging machine for operations that need repeatable container quality at modest volumes rather than continuous, high speed output. Linear systems like this pet packaging machine trade raw speed for control, and that trade off is the point for a specialty producer.
Where rotary systems are optimized for long runs and single format production, this pet packaging machine gives operators direct control over each stage of container formation. Preform loading, infrared conditioning, mold transfer, and blowing all happen as discrete, observable steps. If a batch drifts off spec, an operator can catch it mid cycle rather than after a pallet is already wrapped.
Seppa built the SSB-SL-20 as a small packaging machine in the truest sense: not a scaled down rotary unit, but a design that treats low-to-moderate volume as the primary use case rather than an afterthought.

WhyChooseSeppaSolutions?
Seppa Solutions builds turnkey pet packaging machine systems for FMCG producers who need reliability more than raw speed.
Our engineers work through thermal conditioning curves with every customer running a spice packing machine configuration, since spice adjacent PET formulations often carry additives that change how they absorb IR energy. Getting that curve wrong is the single most common mistake we see on a first time spice packing machine order.
We have also built infrastructure for high output salt packaging machine facilities where seal consistency is a food safety requirement, not just a quality preference, and the same discipline applies to any salt packaging machine line we commission. That experience shapes how we set cooling channel geometry and pressure staging on every SSB-SL-20 we build, regardless of the end product.
Customers choosing Seppa get more than equipment. They get a commissioning process built around their actual production mix, and support from engineers who have tuned this specific blow moulding technology across dozens of bottle geometries.
HowtheSEPPASSB-SL-20Works
As a pet packaging machine, production on the SSB-SL-20 follows a defined sequence. Preforms are loaded manually or through a semi automatic feed, depending on the configuration a customer selects.
Thermal Conditioning
Preforms move into the IR heating station, where zoned lamps bring the material to its target stretch temperature without over softening the neck finish.

Transfer & Clamping
Heated preforms transfer to the mold station, where the clamping unit closes with enough repeatable force to prevent flash or misalignment.

Dual Stage Blow & Stabilize
The machine executes the dual stage blow: pre blow to establish shape, then high pressure final blow to set wall thickness and surface detail. Compressed air holds the container against the mold wall briefly for dimensional stability before ejection.

This is a slower cycle than a rotary system, deliberately. Each stage can be observed and adjusted, which is what a small packaging machine needs when running short batches of several bottle formats in the same week. It is also what makes this pet packaging machine practical to troubleshoot on the shop floor instead of pulling apart a sealed rotary carousel.
